«Just had to watch this again, such an incredibly inspiring watch, even more so now that I've been a part of the community for a little while (although a chunk of that time was spent on involuntary hiatus) TMU didn't look like much when I first got here, browsing the site before signing up, but slowly I started to see that this may be a cool place to at least drop in and check out. So I watched a couple of films, which ones I don't even recall. And then just as I was about to go about my day, THIS movie popped up in the "videos being watched" and caught my attention. From the title, description and length, I knew this was going to be the best way to find out all I can about the site. That's what I got, and then some. The inspiration that flooded in as I watched was incredible and made me feel nostalgic somehow, despite having not been a member yet. (I browsed a bit in the early days of TMO, but I had no idea about the amazing things that would be happening there later!) After finishing the documentary, I signed up right away and got to work on making films and watching TMU classics. Really saddens me that most of my contributions to this site are now lost, but at least my two most definitive works so far were not. To anyone reading this who saw my film "Out of Print" it'll be back up on the site soon, and the sneak peek for my upcoming silent film Gone Missing is already back up, so enjoy and stay tuned! But anyways, back to Great TMU Movie. I've seen loads of great films on this site, of all genres, but this without a doubt my favorite. Because if it hadn't been made, who knows if I would have decided to join? I wouldn't be typing this right now. Plus, it's just a really nicely animated and edited piece, super entertaining, not a single uninteresting moment. All 3 times that I've watched this it kept my attention from beginning to end. Oh, how I wish I was part of this community back in the early days. To witness the Ollies, the manifest destiny-esque transition from TMO to TMU, and to have been able to keep with all these great movies as they were coming out and conversing with the filmmakers responsible for them, perhaps I could have even been involved in some of them somehow. A shame that a lot of old members aren't as active as they used to be, if at all, but it's understandable as to why, and at least they left behind some great works to enjoy! I could talk all freakin' day about this movie and how glad I am that I decided to join this community, but I think I'll leave it at that.
5 stars ***** please watch and rate my movie! Film on!

«Wow, thank you Biz for this project. What a monumental effort putting this together. It's so great to see and hear all these old names and the memories flooded back. The amazing thing about this is about how long we've all been together as a community. Even though some of us have been in and out, it's amazing to see how many of us have stuck around because we're enchanted by the magic of this community. Well done to Biz and to everybody involved for this project.»
«Only community I've ever known.
Thank you Ken thank you thebiz.»
«I enjoyed every minute of this. First off, thank you and the community for all your hard work and time put into creating this fine documentary. It's certainly a piece of history and a stroll right down memory lane.
I watched this over the course of a few days (wish I could've made it to the premiere event!) and jotted some notes down. The introduction segment was great at explaining to the audience what TMO/TMU is and where it came from. I was young at the time when everything was escalating on the Lionhead forums so it was good for me to revisit it through the eyes of the community. There's also so many films mentioned that I don't remember watching. I'm going to have to binge watch a lot.
Animation throughout the film was awesome. Loved all the different character designs that went with all the participants. I enjoyed the "Word from TMU Characters" segment, all iconic characters in the community. It was also great to see segments on voice actors and modders in the community. They play a HUGE role in TMU.
In the end it was an enjoyable experience. I couldn't help but think throughout the film how motivating it all is. It makes me want to start making movies again!»
«Love all the contributions, well done The Biz for a herculean task gathering all this together.»
«What a wonderful walk down memory lane this was and a great introduction for anyone who just happened to be wandering by (as you do on the internet). Congratulations to everyone involved.»
«This brings to mind many memories and is an inspiring motivation to keep the community moving forward. Thanks for taking on this monumental task!»
«A really well put together documentary, very interesting and entertaining at the same time.
Bravo!»
«this was great movie explaining the about where the community came from and where were headed.»
«It's quite a big feat, but one of the better community projects that I have seen in these 8 years since joining. Well done.»
«I've said this many times, but I'll say it once more - this is an amazing piece of work that encapsulates the ten years that many of us have been part of this changing community.»
«This is so good. Well done!»
