«The Mob Rules!!
Really awesome movie, Bezzer! Awesome story and superb voice acting! I also enjoy the overall Grindhouse feel of this movie, and the soundtrack fits really well. But what happened, do you plan on finishing it?
I'd really like to see how it all ends.
Apocalypse Warriors - Chapter 2
«The Mob Rules!!
«**** - Once again, those opening credits were fantastic! It's something you would no doubt find at the beginning of an exploitation flick from the 70s. The flashback sequence at the beginning was very effective, giving us an idea of the kind of person Harry is and what he has at stake. I think your voice fits Harry well as the neutral protagonist. BenjaminZ's voice, again, was a little too exaggerated, almost like he was acting for a loud anime redub. Uber, (sigh) again, did not sound very convincing as the head honcho of a post-apocalyptic warrior gang. Other than that, I think all of the elements of this film worked great together. The use of multiple engines during the bar sequence was great! Added a nice atmosphere to what could have been a dull, unappetizing setting. The fight sequences were loud and a decent treat for the eyes. Some of the music was a little distracting given that they were mostly alternative/metal/rock hits, kind of puts more emphasis on the music when someone knows the songs playing (e.g. Alice in Chains, NIN, etc.) Overall, awesome use of Fallout mods, green screen and of course The Movies engine. Sorry it took so long to do this review, haha. 4 stars!»
«Good script, great acting, excellent prop/scene creation. Ive heard of this gunman....heard he was dead. And as for that Duke...A-Number-1, the big man! Sorry, a bit carried away.
I occasionally felt you were stuffing TM animations into places they dint fit but alas thats just my experiences talking (and the booze).
«I knew I had to wait for the whole thing...
A lot to say, but it's difficult when the work of art isn't finished yet.
Anyway... I can already say this: Right now, absolutely inspiring and very impressive.
To me, and just me, and taking everything in account, this is the best TheMovies/Machinima production I've seen the last 8 months on the whole internet.
High hopes for the two last parts indeed... no pressure lol... just follow your heart and listen to your soul!
«These days we're seeing increasingly complex and involved story-lines from the experienced and clever film-makers of the TMU community. Sometimes they hit, and sometimes they miss. Bezzer is a clever and talented film-maker, and, the obvious sumptuousness aside, has created a fascinating and thrilling world in which to tell this saga (the look and feel is spot on - the atmosphere brilliant).
Here, though, I feel the sheer weight of the plot-lines is threatening to overwhelm the viewer, and the case isn't helped by the action set-pieces which are slightly overblown and not entirely cohesive, presented almost as if there is a need to offset the dialogue with visual relief. Make no mistake, this is an interesting and involved series, with equal measures of style and substance, but it feels very often as though these two qualities are not quite meshing.
Regardless of my quibbles with story versus action (and it seems sometimes that one is not necessarily in sync with the other), this is a great series and Bezzer has a fantastic cast working with him. Fine work from all involved!»
«This movie is great, a lot of cursing too. Makes it seem more real somehow, and the look of the film just makes it even better and the music great. (Especially "Hand That Feeds" by Nine Inch Nails in the bar when Harry is going to meet Wheels.) A well selected cast, who gave a magnificent performanceand a great way to continue from AW 1 indeed, the opening credits were as great as before, although this movie seems to go by quickly it still looks great and is a pleasure to watch and I await part 3.
«Magnificent visual piece of Awesomeness. Lovin it!
Great work on this Episode Bezzer. Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to (be cont'd) End.
Loved the Musical choices in the Background. Especially the lil touch of 'Rooster' (Here comes) in the Office scene.. Nice! ;D
Editing & direction was just beautiful as usual with your movies. Great job to all the other VA's as well.. Some truly spectacular work in there.
Well it was definitely worth the wait to see this Episode released.., now with my appetite satisfied for the time being I'll await Ep 3 in 2012! Top Job Mate »
«Thanks for the kind comments so far everyone, I really do appreciate them...in fact, the one thing I would ask of anyone watching this movie is to please, please, please leave a comment here.
I really appreciate your ratings too, but I feel I've developed as a movie maker through absorbing your thoughts and observations...and the only way I can continue to improve is by you guys letting me know what's good and what sucks.
Before the first review here from ArcLight, I already had 3 five star ratings...who were they from?
Don't get me wrong, I fully appreciate them and I'm honoured that anyone would think highly of my movies like this, but I love to know who's watching my movies too.
So, even if it's a one word comment and even if that comment is 'crap', please share your thoughts:-)
«Word is bond bro.
You delivered a dope ass Chapter Two. I have to disagree with Tumac, because the music fits 100 percent the scenes. And I also loved the details. Example - The dude in the bar (in the background) doing that thing with his knife. What's it called in english? When you do the knife play with the hand on the table?
Mama Riott was the cherry on top
And the dialogue was awesome.
But there's one thing I didn't liked. The Ending... I can't explain that in english right now, but it was way too abrupt/suddenly.
Can't wait to see Chapter Three.»
«Great stuff. Like in the first part, great visuals complement a fun sci-fi yarn. Well directed, acted, and with some excellent mods to boot.
My only complaint would be that several of the music tracks used did not fit the scene well. To be fair, though, the music used isn't my cup of tea to begin with.
Regardless, great work, here, kudos to Bezz and all others involved. Definetly going to catch part 3 upon it's release
«I'm just loving the look of the whole production. The grit, grain, and dust sets this series apart in a world of its own (figuratively and literally). Nice use of game clips to liven up the background of the shots, too. Terrific use of music soundtracks as well. I'm already standing in line for part 3.»
