This was the shortest of all his Sherlock Holmes stories and is not included in any of his collected volumes. Instead, it is a parody of his own creation. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in the 1887 novel A Study in Scarlet, and went on to feature the characters in a series of numerous adventures. I shall be producing adaptations of the most memorable Sherlock Holmes stories on The Movies. This film has been produced in spiritual support to Leslie S. Klinger's lawsuit against the greedy Arthur Conan Doyle Estate, which, God willing (and hopefully the Illinois courts), will allow the characters to be confirmed as public domain material and allow modern readers to expand on Conan Doyle's wonderful ideas without the linger of the Conan Doyle Estate restricting them with their false claims of copyright. Sherlock Holmes belongs to the world. #FreeSherlock
