«I always love films with meaning and a purpose, and this sure fit the bill. Entertainment and enlightenment--what a great combo. I was really impressed with the fantastic dialogue; it's something one would expect to see only in professional theatrical productions. Bravo. The only thing I found a bit off was the music used in this film. I found the tunes to be too electronic and tended to remind me of an old computer or console game. That minor quip aside, this was a splendid masterpiece of which you should be proud of.»

«I thought this big scale production was executed with great attention to detail. Directing solid performances , writing a smart and witty script and creating lots of visual sparkle, shows off your producing skills. The spiffy opening sequence really made me sit up and pay attention. I thought the opening music was interesting at first, but the repetitiveness of the few notes killed it for me. The ending music didn't seem to fit either. Other than that, this is a rare historical machinima film that all should experience.
«God bless the Empire eh?
I thoroughly enjoyed that. I enjoyed the deliberate pacing, a wonderful performance by Mr Porteous by the way. It made the sudden leap to the action sequences more memorable.
A fascinating look at a shameful episode, one which I'd never heard of, brilliantly scripted.
Technically outstanding fusing of two engines, pretty much seamless.
I was genuinely angry at the end - so I guess it got me emotionally as well.
Terrific stuff all round.»
«Nice work! The special effects were great, and made me wonder how on earth you did those. I greatly appreciated the attention to detail, as in the effect of the ship moving on the sea. (I wander how it would look like if the background moves a little bit too.)
Perfect casting! I very much enjoyed listening to all the voice actors.
The choice of music was interesting. The opening music certainly catches ears. I’m on the fence about the closing music. I personally would prefer something slightly more grandeur. But that might be my personal taste, I guess.
Interesting piece of history and nicely written too. It is rather dialog heavy for a movie (It seems that you are quite intentionally defying the characteristics of the media?), but I enjoyed the wit in the conversation between the young officer and Norrie’s character.
Pacing is slower than my personal preference in some places but perfect in other places.
Some scenes feature quite astonishing and effective visuals (e.g. the scene towards the end with dead bodies).
Again, nice work! I very much enjoyed it.

Also, during the first meeting with Norrie's character I found the conversation a little stilted and felt the timing could have been clipped down a bit. Maybe it was intentionally awkward though, I don't know.
Overall, this was just an astounding piece of machinima which was technically brilliant and emotionally engaging throughout. Very well written and filmed, I agree with Chris, this is by far your best work, and that is with no disrespect to your previous films. This is one of the best films I've seen on here in a good while. Congratulations Lewis, very well done.

Outstanding. Simply outstanding. There were so many aspects of this that impressed me Lewis. I know you had a hard time staying motivated during production, but it certainly paid off here. Loved your masterful use of greenscreening, very well blended with the Operation Flashpoint game. The voice acting was superb, especially from yourself and Porteous. Abolutely loved the bombing scenes at the end, amazing effect work and great sound design. This movie successfully painted a very harrowing picture of that war, whilst remaining entertaining as well. This is difficult to do so well done
On a very minor negative, I know you had trouble with this and that it was hard to fix but the bobbing of the ship in the background as opposed to the static TM shots was slightly distracting at times. This is a very minor point though and took nothing away from my viewing pleasure.»
«Wonderful work Lewis, I know you spent a lot of time on this and it certainly has paid off. Fantastic voice acting from the cast (excluding me) I enjoyed David's portrayal of Rawson, really good work. Norrie also gave a great performance along with Mac and you Lewis. Was also some very good editing in there, especially with the green screens. I also liked the textures for the captains office and the modding, good work. The camera work was also really well done, especially towards the end with the naval battles.
Overall this was a really great period film which I enjoyed a lot. Your best work to date!
