«Really really powerful. This doesn't take one side or the other in the long arguement on whether this war was worth it or not. It could be any of the conflicts really dating way back in time (the thoughts).
I loved the way you were able to show a realistic emotional response from John upon hearing the news. It really added to the story.
Great job with this. Having spent many years in the military with deployments both in peaceful times and 'immanent danger zones' and having lost friends along the way, I can relate to what is being said.»
«Outstanding. Great narration (both the writing and the performance). Loved the Elton John line at the beginning. "I've seen things" was a bit derivative but I stopped caring once you switched to night vision. Great looking scene. Also really liked the subway. Should the ending have been a touch more abstract...maybe but it was done well and didnt kill the vibe for me. Didnt figure on enjoying this as much as I did (the theme doesnt appeal to me) but its my favorite thing you've done and the best MS flick Ive seen in a long while.»
That was excellent. For the first half of the film, I was taken aback by the amazing technical work. The effects, camerawork, etc were all fantastic. But as soon as the hero begins to talk about the man on his commute, and the film begins to explore the moral issues of war, this took a step up in my book. Excellent story, and brilliant voice-acting from Jorge. I really liked the twist at the end as well. This was thought-provoking and emotionally engaging, two things that are rare in machinima. I loved this film, and will definitely be adding it to my favourites. The only thing that didn't quite seem right for me was the timing of the footstep sound effects, but overall this was simply outstanding. Highly recommended movie here
