«haha loved it! Jorge must return triumphantly to his family with fruit and nut, if he can get past his ever growing list of tasks lol»
\"DEJELO PARA USTED\" - Part 2
«Because I'm lazy, you get two reviews bundled into one. Lucky you!
When I first saw this (part 1) posted, I didn't know what to expect. I actually thought (and hoped) it was going to be one of the few kwis "serious" movies (like the wonderful 'Dusk Feed'), but after a few moments of the film, it is clear this was instead another kwistufa comedy. That's not a bad thing! But I do like it when kwis does serious work.... Anyway, moving on with the film:
Clearly kwis knows how to use MovieStorm, and use it well. The sets alone show that, and the characters all look and move just like they should (some people tend to "over animate" their actors in MS, but they looked really good here).
Also, I really enjoyed the post effects here. The desaturated/sepia look along with the scratched emulsion effects all worked perfectly together to bring an aged feel to the film. Which was funny, when the Indian Internet Cafe popped up. lol
Some things I didn't like, however. The pacing was too slow for my liking. It wasn't bad, but it could have been tighter. And the scrolling text (where some of the funnier gags were hidden) at times flew by way too fast for my aging eyes to read. So kwis, do me a favour in Part 3, and SLOW DOWN the text, and SPEED UP the editing!
Oh, and I forgot to mention the music: Great! It all worked really well to set the mood.
And let's not forget to mention my favourite aspect so far: the Cave. I really enjoyed the camera work and lighting in the cave scenes. I tip my hat to you (and MS) for a job well done.
I certainly enjoyed this film (both parts), and got a few smirks from the fun dialogue (and 'interesting' foreign language translations). But I suspect it is all leading to a single joke about Cadburys... »
«i watched it again... and i still cant wait for part 3... and the sour kraut needs to talk more german in part 3 just some words. the nein nein nein nein thing......you can put it to.... ja ja ja ja ja after the nein nein nein nein... that would be really funny. awesome job kwistufa and the camera work in the cave is so amazing.»
«Well done, dude! This is the first time I see you put unlimited efforts into an epic project.
And I'm so happy you finally did. This is just a delight to watch.
Well there's always a ying in the yang (and in reverse):
So just technical, annoying, picky and useless but:
-That little crazy music in the beginning with the german guy didn't work for me, I though some stupid video add/pop-up was playing somewhere... so next time maybe a Prussian March from the 18th century?
-I didn't know crickets did live in caves... just me... maybe in Australia LOL...
... ok slap me..
- And id I hear a police siren....?!
Voilà, me being nasty, because I love this.
The whole cave scene was absolutely brilliant!
In the beginning after a while I was like, "C'mon ok he's walking in a ca..." Booom, nasty sound.. great!
Anyway, absolutely riveting(?), out of this world, clever, creative, fun.
And if I may, just a humble and modest suggestion:
Keep your mind like it is right now, keep concentrated and patient. We are all ok to wait as much as we have to for the next episode. You have no deadline.
Ok, I'm so fan of this right now.
«Haha nice job... only you could make a man wandering through a dark cave so interesting and funny. The VOs are great and once again I cracked up every time fruit and nut was mentioned. Great camerawork, especially in the goblin's POV shots above Jorge's head.
Really enjoying this series! »
«I'm only gonna leave one review.
A great continuation to the series. The camera work, the sounds, the lighting and mods create atmosphere and an eerie feel, also nice use of the "JOE's" music.
Great work my friend, you keep getting better with each new movie, keep up the good work!
Bring on part3.
The ending is truly disturbing!»
«I just watched this on my roku in my living room, on my 36" TV. Very cool. I barely recognize this as moviestorm. The screenplay is uniquely suited to machinima, and the film is well executed. Camera work deserves another mention, even though everybody else has already said it -- really super work there. I think the sound engineering was excellent and really fit the piece. I have no idea what the hell this is about, but it doesn't really matter. Well done. The text overlays and box wipes added to the feel here and solidified this as a unique and quirky masterpiece!»
«Kwis, this is without a doubt, your masterpiece mate.
I am absolutely loving everything about this movie so far.
It's stylish, surreal, funny, unique and generally amazing.
As Uber, Joseph and Norrie and Shidden commented, the sound and camera work are truly noteworthy here and create an atmosphere that completely draws you in and keeps you there to the last frame.
Epic, inspiring and brilliant...very well done sir:-)»
«What can I say?
Surreal, creepy, odd, yet so funny. Astonishing.
Such wonderful camera work and sound (and oh the soundscape was glorious)
Kwis makes it seem so effortless somehow - yet you know that it's all carefully done. So impressive.
But most of all it's just great fun »
