Revenge of the Orc's
«great job on this one gizmo - like the nice little detail touches like the iron cage swaying in the breeze - the action choreography is well done and certainly the setup for the sequel builds the anticipation
if there is one tinsee winsee suggestion - at time stamp 5:21 you can see a grey area between the sky and the water - assuming you used a panorama prop, just move the prop a bit lower to hide the separation - or go to 2D background and change it to a color matches the sky or the water plane»
«Revenge of the Orcs is an authentic looking and sounding film.
From it's subject matter to it's execution, there is a unique feel to this film. I liked the way you used the camera throughout this. Such things like panning shots used to follow the characters during the chase/duel sequences to the close shot of the skull flag, before panning back to reveal the small battalion of orcs awaiting a showdown were highlights for me. Lighting also stood out, giving this a moody and ominous atmosphere.
I thought you used some real authentic music. loved the sound of the drums and percussions giving this an epic and fantasy feel. It was also timed well for most parts, particularly in the action sequences, which I must say were quite brutal and relentless. This film reminded me of an old PC title named "Severance" for it's look, feel and execution.
Whilst the style used for the VO's complemented the feel of this film (authentic wise), I did find it hard to understand some of the dialogue at times. Perhaps you could look into this for the second installment, which I am heavilly looking forward to..
Nuke Well for the Orcs!
«I enjoyed that and am looking forward to the rest! One thing though - with the looping music near the beginning with the dinosaur - I thought it could have looped a bit smoother. It seemed a bit jarring every time. On the other hand, I really like some of the subtle touches, especially the floating guy slowly turning in the water and the rolling clouds. Nicely done!»
