The Tracks Introduction
«Yeah, the keying work was pretty good. A few fading problems but I know from experience that that can be difficult to fix. I liked the shots of the fairground, nice integration of another platform. The idea for this series seems ok and pretty original, but I didn't really catch much of what it was about, due to the fact that a lot of the VOs were drowned out by the music. I also thought the Cascada track didn't really suit the interview scene at all, and seemed a little odd. Try and get rid of the popping sounds like Killian and Chris have said too, since it can be a little distracting. For your first movie I'd say this wasn't bad, but there's plenty of room for improvement. Welcome to TMU and keep on filming

«VO volume was all over the place (either too loud or too quiet in relation to the backing music) and you recorded with the mic too close to your mouth (hence the loud pops and hisses); to be honest, even though it's only a 3.42 long movie, the VO quality nearly had me switching off. You really need to work on that for your next one.
The plot didn't make a huge amount of sense but then it is a first episode.
A couple of nice chromakey scene tries (the first one was a little too faded, though, and you could see the background through his legs), but a little more experimentation will show you just how far you can go with transparencies, etc. The final one seemed to work ok though.
Not really my cup of tea, I have to say, but some promise demonstrated here nonetheless. Good luck with your production »
