«Good, creepy movie. 5 stars.»
The Tormented (HD)
«Brilliant little horror film KV, you really suit this genre perfectly. There was a chillingly excellent soundtrack and some truly outstanding sound design. I also liked the visual style here, almost like a comic book cel-shaded look in places. The voice acting (I assume it was by you?) was really well done, you sounded genuinely afraid. Well, I suppose I would be too if I'd created such a chilling atmosphere as this. I thought the camerawork was terrific, very good work to create an edgy, mysterious look and feel to the movie. The shot that swivelled around the passenger's head to reveal the zombies was simply brilliant.
As a small criticism, for the most part the sounds of footsteps in the train didn't match up with the man's feet touching the ground at all, so that was a little weird. At first I thought the noise was coming from something else before I realised it was just his footsteps. However, overall you did a great job so well done and keep on filming

«Wow, that was a great movie. You created such a creepy atmosphere, with the perfect lighting, and great music. The sound effects and camera work were also great. I think what really made this movie great though, was the lighting. I loved all the really dark scenes. They all worked really well. »
«Thankyou for the response, the sound you are referring too wouldn`t be the one with the creature on the rooftop would it? If so when I think about it that one may well not have been needed, I shall take this principle into consideration for future productions thankyou.
Thanks Tinman thrilled you enjoyed it.»
«very effective in setting a really spooky atmosphere - the dark scenes accentuates the unknown and the confusion of the main character - loved the soundtrack but if had one minor nit it is use of 'traditional' haunted house sound effects (4:40) in one scene - did not think it was really needed »
«Thanks guys, @ kibishipaul the train is a model imported from sketchup, of course additional work was required in moviestorm to make interactions and lighting etc work, and filming in such a tight space was quite awkward at times, but I am happy how it worked out.
I agree that the glow from eyes is a bit odd, I will forward this concern to the moviestorm staff.
I thought about adding additional lighting however I needed the lighting to be specific in areas so not to expose scenes that were not ready to be seen until they were intended to, also it is part of the atmosphere. On my screen even though some parts were quite dark, in HD they are nicely visible, so it may just be my monitor that is able to display them better (using a viewsonic 1080p HD monitor) where as for some other viewers it would be seen as to dark.
Any further comments and suggestions are welcome as I plane to do a sequel to this movie, particularly since this first one does not explain to much (or is it better that way?).»
«Great movie. Set was fantastic. Where did you get that train. I'm serious, really, where? I've been looking for something like that for ages. Really nice build up of tension in this with generally great lighting. The only issue I had was that sometimes it was a little too dark. The guy in the carriage at times you could only see the whites of his eyes, which was OK for the zombies but I thought just a little light on his face would have made him look 'human' in this case. Apart from that I thought it was superb, great story line with the end hanging in the air. Loved it.»
«More suspence from the mind of KV
A thriller in the true sense of the word
The lighting (or lack of) played into the suspence
The music and sound effects were good
The usual MS jitteryness.
I thought the eyes looked a little unrealistic lit up all the time.
A good thriller. Makes you wonder if he was fighting actual demons or inner demons.»
