I'm really impressed by your work, it's so beautiful. The setdressing, the use of camera (as Sisch, I have appreciated a lot the slow moving shots and that part with the Cleopatra's boat), the backdrops and the music...wow, it's so good, it's like a real antic movie. Your job is delicate and intelligent. You have totally controlled all the parts of your movie. As I already said you, I specially like this part of History, the tension beetween Antoine and Octave (2 characters so different) is very well done. You succeed to give power and personnality to Cleopatra. So, I'm going to watch the last part for a final which must be great, I'm sure. Ci vediamo presto .
«Wonderful! I think I say this on every review for one of your movies, but the setdressing and backdrops are just so good, I have to comment every time.... one of the absolute highlights for me was the slow voyage of Cleo's ship, the slow moving shots, and her - what's it called - boudoir? on that ship... beautiful!
Now I'm off to see the last part...»
«This is as grand as it can get when it comes to a TM movie! The sets, the props, and the costumes… I can only imagine hours and hours of hard work that the moders put into this project. The music of course sounds professional. Such an ambitious project, well executed. »
«Once again... Epic Story, Epic Characters, Epic Movie....
Hurry up and finish, gosh darn it...
btw... I see Cleo has .... ahem.... Matured a bit... well a lot. Is she at the point that she cant see her feet anymore? I wish I had the perspective that Anthony did, just to verify that theory!
«Simply beautiful! I have to say that I admire your vision and the way your have executed it here. Each episode is a wonder to behold. Bravo, bravo.
H_Finniccaro is simply PERFECT as Cleopatra, as is Alfric as Antony. (Mustachio seemed like he had a cold, though.) Combine some superb VO performances with the sumptuous set dressing, and you come up with a brilliant piece of machinimatography (I'm making up words now!)
Just fantastic work, MGM. Love it!»
«mgm, again, a fine bit of work. i was gripped by this series when i watched the first part, and i've loved it ever since. it was one of the first tmo movies i saw that was, let's say, extravagant. over the top, and every bit ready for the BIG screen. i hadn't realized you could do that with the movies, until i saw Cleopatra. and part three doesn't disappoint. the only complaint is that i have to WAIT for part four. »
«As We all know MGM is one of the best directors on this community. Allways delivers wonderfull writing and directing. Cleopatra is one of the biggest franchises on TMO/U and the thirs part lives up to the hype. The dialogue is fantastic, the acting is superb from everyone. The directing is stunning and the cinematagrophy beutiful. As the first 2 this has some of the best set dressing that there is, it realy feels like Rome and Egypt. This is deffinatly one o the better movies on TMU so far, and I´m looking forward to all of your future projects. Bravo!
By the way, The American Dream is released: http://www.tmunderground.com/watch/11dd7e8d9c510137a238/The-American-Dream»
«Cleopatra III is yet another stunning continuation of this gripping saga!
MGM manages to capture the place, setting and mood just right yet again with lavish scenery, colourful and vivid imagery and a stunning cinematography.
This part successfully ventrures into the heart and soul of the saga with some fascinating voice acting and story progression. Characters are, fleshed out fully like no other parts and the we get to truly see some classic drama!
I loved your use of free-cam for some enticing and mesmerising pans and swoops, keeping the viewer locked and hooked.
Although there was a noticably absentee in Admultosanos, you managed to provide an authentic feel with the subsitute temp music tracks and it all gelled together!
Overall, Part III serves as a very important part of the saga and finishes off with a heartbreaking cliff-hanger. I cannot wait to see the final part (IV) to enjoy the full Cleopatra experience but until then...
Nuke Well for Cleopatra!!!!!!!!»
«MGM.... you are such a tease! --------- Okay.... okay... the lavish sets.... the costuming..... blah, blah, blah. Opulence is in your blood and is a hallmark of your movies........ but I have to tell you that in this contribution your camera work and direction was tremendous and could have easily been overshadowed by the sets. You knew exactly where to come in close and when to pull away... you knew exactly how to tease with the camera shots. Superbe stuff here. Epic enticement! Bravo! ---- K4»
«This isn't one of my official reviews - I'm now a part of the project. (I've not star rated this film either for that reason).
I'll just say that was a great watch. I loved the way we were given loads of time to drink in the sheer splendour; the Queen's arrival on the boat will live long in the memory.
The love scene was extremely tasteful (hehe - damned vase!) and beautifully acted.
Alex North's music was perfectly used - right up until that killer scene where the Queen is told the bad news. A combination of the music, direction and a truly superb performance actually made me shed a tear at that moment. That very rarely happens in real life films for me, and maybe only twice in TM films (the "One Hit Wonder" piano scene was the last time that happened).
Who is H_Finniccaro? She's brilliant! I want her as the lead in Urban Warrior.
I've made a mistake in my pronunciation of the name Lepidus - I'll record that section again and send it within a few days.
«Another superb movie from TheMGMKid, The Set dressing just keeps getting better and better, it's superb, you have to keep watching it again and again to see the little props and splended art that is put into the scenes, and notice new ones.
The Script was perfect and The Cast was brilliant, everything about the movie was brilliant!
