«As a huge fan of MCR, I'd like to say that this is quite worthy for such a moving song from the band. The characters were a little hard to get beacuase there wasn't much development and the story had its puzzles, but this video was shot really well. I think that music videos, in this sense, aren't done as often as they should, or at least not as well as your video. Nice job »
I Don't Love You - My Chemical Romance Music Video
«Hey nice video. i think that's the kind of imagery we all see when hearing that song. I wasn't sure what happened in the plot though. i think there were a few holes in there that could have been covered up. But, it's not about the plot. Whatever was going on, it worked.»
Some of the imagery went with the song, but I felt it was trying to tell me a story but not doing a particularly good job of it. Listening to the words and watching the events on the screen, I just didn't get what it was trying to say or in what order things happened.
There was also some shameless padding during the guitar solo where the camera takes an age to move around the main character who's stood looking at a photo - a guitar solo is an ideal opportunity for an exciting montage. That wasn't taken here and the resulting lengthy shot was not particularly interesting.
The keyhole overlay should have only been used once - the final shot, which was the best shot in the film, as we see her walking down the path and presumably out of his life.
So, it was ok - but it needed more cohesion, or more pace in the images, or both.»
