The Coroner - Opening scenes
@Look_up The reason why humans are so few is because of global dictatorship, which came about through depopulation. (manufactured diseases). This is explained a little further in the story. Although the loss of human life should be be more significant at this stage, it's not, because each sector is treated as a closed community. They have contact with each other within that community only. Nobody knows what's happening on a global scale other than those who are in full control, The Globalists. Even the news channels only broadcast local news for each individual sector, and only the androids are allowed into different sectors because they can be programmed not to talk, so to speak.
The story really starts to open up when the coroner activates a distress call that's received by a human cop, who begins to investigate his disappearance.
«This seems to be quite an accomplishment. Clearly, a lot of attention was given to detail. Lots of action. And the dark lighting sets a certain dark mood. Good work.
BTW: I can imagine reasons why robots would outnumber humans. But there must be a good reason why humans are so few in such a large city. Though, if they're that rare, it would make the loss of even one human life all the more significant.»
