«Impressionant, techniquement, scenaristiquement ect.. bref superbe.»
«Beautiful visual, superb camera work and special effects. The dialog lines were very nice too. And what an attention to detail (like when the angel hits the car and the car rolls a little)! Beautifully done. How did I miss this one? I absolutely loved it, even though angels-and-demons stories are usually not my cups of tea. The remaining questions for me are what earned the protagonist his redemption and why the angel was in the form of a German officer.»
«Super un film tout en ambiance avec en prime de super effet spéciaux , je note que tu as mis de très très bon bruitage ,et que la musique discrète met directe dans l'ambiance sombre et lugubre de ton film ! J'ai beaucoup aimé aussi les voix des trois doubleurs avec leurs petit accent qui met un charme aux film, je dis bravo par ce que j'ai vraiment passé un très très bon moment !»
«I only have one word to say...WOW! Without question, technically the best movie I've ever seen with the Movies game. Unbelievable shots and editing. Great special effects and sound...the best I've ever seen.
Great job to everyone involved! This is one of the most memorable movies I've seen in the last three years. Congratulations! »
«An absolutely awesome experiment in sound and vision and a truly shining example of how to keep 'the movies' not only alive and kicking, but fresh, exciting and inspiring.
TMU has opened the doors to outside editing and if this series of short horror movies by Mefune is anything to go by, 2009 should be a fantastic year for 'movies' makers.
«Wow. OK short and sweet: The audio in this is flawless.... you must be in cahoots with Sisch...
Visuals kicked butt, voice work was top notch, I loved setting and language, directing was superior.
The macabre is not my genre but you are rapidly converting me into a Disciple of Death!
More demonic duels from this series! Superb visual and sound effects yet again as a demon and its nemesis go toe to toe.
There's a good twist in this film which should surprise and some very good performances.
One minor nitpick, the opening scene was a fraction too dark to see much (and I was watching in full screen and in the dark too) but that really was the only technical niggle.
This is turning into a consistently excellent series of short films - a surprise at the end of the credits tells us we are to be treated to another demon soon ...»
«Wow. That opening scene was good.
Again with brilliant visuals, effects and sound. This is really shaping up quite nicely. What a story. Some nice set dressing as well and a thrilling, spine chilling atmosphere.
Really digging these Mefune. Great work once again.
«One thing I always admire in your films is your capacity to create a realistic and gritty atmosphere, whether if it is on a comedic level, action orientated, or just good old fashioned thrilling. For the latter, this movie showcases OUTSTANDING atmospheric tension and coupled with some excellent free-cam, you immerse the viewer into something out of the norm.
I seriously need to catch up with more movies on here and I can't wait to see the one's I've missed out on but one thing's for sure... I will DEFINETLY be scaring a lot of my friends with this inspiring number of yours.
Keep up the Nuketastic work my friend and until the next time...
Nuke Well in "TRUE" Horror!!!!»
«Love the setting and the background. Very smart to play the German officer off in that way..a bit of a dichotemy eh. Effects were fabulous, specifically the mixing of scenes. Great sound work. Could have done without the final scene (almost an ETesque type of ascension).
Oooh, that coming attraction sounds hot indeed (though the nitpicker in me says the font used there not a good choice..but Im a font nitpicker..haha)»
«Even after watching it 5 times over the last 3-4 days I can´t seem to find the right words to prais saimaya. You just keep topping yourself with every part. By far, the best horror film made with TM. Actually the first horror made with tm with a good story, no not good awesome story. The voice work of cause great, but what was really shining in this one was your cam work! Just ... well I think it´s the best free cam use I´ve seen so far. Then the effects... this movie deffinately deserves a place in the hall of fame of the best movies ever made with TM.
Give me more of that stuff, or "Rain" or "SDUGF 2", I guess I just want more of your films doesn´t matter which one. ;-)»
«As Alutt said, it's creepy . You've created a very special atmosphere because of the beautiful use of camera and the excellent soundtracks. And the effects, wow, I'm very impressive and inspired by your work. All the cast act very well, the mix with french, german and english speaking was very nice. Just 2 small historical points, on May 9 1940, German hadn't yet attacked France and the Maginot line is the only point which wasn't passed, they finally went on July 1, 2 weeks after the amistice.
The idea to mix WWII and fantastic was ingenious, that makes me think about a movie which takes place during the WWI, "Deathwatch".
So, I've spent a very pleasant and creepy^^ moment with your movie, thank you and "félicitations"!
I'll watch more from you later. See you soon, don't hesitate to let your new movies on The Movies FR .
«Creepy... Very nice shooting and great job on scenary ! Voice over acting is impressive (Mike is very good, Sisch as always and the others too). Some amazing special effects and a perferft work on the atmosphere. A very good idea was to use appropriated german and french languages. A good movie. Bravo !»
«It was tight to have this in French! I love that language. I didn't notice it was until a few minutes in. I knew Mike, you and Sisch had to have been in this film (I just didn't expect Marie to be in this either). The only thing I didn't like was the lack of understanding that stems from this mystery. It's still too vague- though the action and effects are cohesive. A 4...out of 5.»
That was just fantastic Mefune.
Everything about it.
Loved the voices, sounds, settings..
I have to comment on the Cam work as well.
Truly awesome stuff...
I watched & stared in bewilderment at some of the scenes..
I was lucky enough to watch this in Hi res & it chilled me to my bones.
Excellent excellent work here my Friend.
Definitely..probably the BEST Horror I've ever seen from TM.
Fantastic work & Bravo to all that were involved.
«If ever a LMAO Studios' film said, "Ya' know what? This is awsome, and we know it", it would be this great installment in the amazingly proffesional horror series by the original kings of comedy (and horror too, by the look of it). With every bomb-induced flare that reflects upon the soldiers, every growl from the demented demons, every perfectly timed fright, the viewer can't help but be inspired in some way, no matter what kind of genre they specialize in; if there is a film that directors should look up to and learn from, it is this!
See, this is why nightmares exist: We got talented (understatement? You betchya'!) people like you that keep on giving 'em to us . Really grand job on everything (and a special kudos about getting the German uniforms right with the correct badges; not many people pay attention to those things).
Five Stars + Bookmarked
«Mefune dude i am honored to have some small part in the making of such a beautifully crafted film.
i am a big fan of your pschy, you are a true master creator of the black arts film genre, you must have a tortured, twisted mind like that of Stephen King.
i bow in your glory of a masterpiece.
first time i've heard MikeD act and what a performance, sisch was excellent as usual, every performer had a tmoscar winning one.
the locations was excellent, creeepy dude creeeapy.
«What pleasant surprise to see this film here ! The realized work is perfect. I like the idea of the script really very interesting and your perfect use of external software. The special effects are very professional, the sound atmosphere and the very good dubbings presents during all the film ! Congratulations for this little movie which pleases me a lot! I like this kind of work, so continue ! »
«Hi ! i just saw your movie thanks to your message on the french community. I'll not comment the story as I didn't see the other parts, I just find it weird (not a fan of fantastic and horror movie).
The special effects are really fantastic, I've never seen anything like that (but I haven't seen a lot of foreign movies). The french voice acting is awesome, I didn't know MikeDBoing was french but he has a great talent.
I'll not continue my message as my english is not perfect but I really enjoyed your movie !»
«Voici une série intrigante et jouissive.
Ce film est extraordinaire, il est bien réalisé, bien monté avec de très bons effets.
Bravo aussi pour les voix françaises, mais tu aurais pu prendre des français, ce qui aurait évité l'accent. C'est pas grave.
Grâce aux voix françaises, tu peux le mettre dans mon groupe "french movies".
«Okay, anything less than "Wow" would be short-sighted and inappropriate.
Stunning camera work, some outstanding Evil-Deadish camera work (and some that had nothing to do with ED and was just plain badass on its own), and did I mention that the camera work is badass, whether influenced or wholly original, throughout? Inspired and inspiring.
Super VO's that never once found me saying "Is that so-and-so?" except for Sisch, who was instantly recognizable (to her credit, and yours for casting her). Genius work with the subtitled German. Great dialogue throughout.
Pretty? Oh, was it pretty? I didn't notice - I was too flabbergasted by the mods and effects that seamlessly assisted story and plot instead of just being eye candy. Holy crap, was that ever pretty.
I'm not saying anything, I'm just sayng... Mefune...
Wow, man. Nice work. REALLY nice work.
I'm gonna go watch it again now.
«So to round off...
Voices were fantastic, Sets and mods were top notch, Script was amazing and the music, tense and gritty...
I take my hat off to you Mefune!, you open up so much more and aspire amateur movie-makers like me, Thank you!
so there is no doubt that you get five stars from me along with a 5 star scare factor!
and the teaser at the end...will we be seeing a Jack The Ripper related theme?...all shall be seen in 2009!
Thank you for this Mefune and Congrats on this great installment, the best so far and one of your finest movies...
«This is why I love your movies Mefuney, you turn that little you have into an inspiring masterpiece...
The voice acting was great!...My fellow fool, Mike did great as a french soldier writing to his wife in a sewer as he draws to the end of his life without any food or water and his daughter Marie was awesome, this was the first time I have heard her Voice act in a movie and it amazed me!...well done!
and of course!...Sisch did her thing and shined as always, and Mefune you did great! and If I missed anyone out, you did great!
The sets were awesome, well done to all the modders with this, you did great!...along with the music which fitted the film perfectly, the music kept me really tense, making me think that something was gonna jump out at any second!
The script was perfect, really nice and really emotional when Mike's character was writing to his wife, I really wanted to see him live...
The special effects were brilliant...what an outside editor you have, especially with the first scene with the marching army, and the tanks following behind, that was truly amazing...it shows you how further we can take The Movies now with this option!...
I don't want to reveal too much because I don't want to spoil the surprise...»
«Ooops, I didn't want to leave that short a comment...
although that really says it all!
Outstanding, Mef - the pacing, effects, music, sounds are just out of this realm... this really sets the bar very, very high!
I'm very proud to be a part of it!
Mike and his lady did a great, great job with their roles!
I love this!!!! »
