The Terrible Old Man
«I agree that this needs some dialogue- you were willing to put in some off-screen, so some more would definitely help convey the story better. Even if you're adapting a short story you don't need to duplicate the prose, and if you do want to keep some of that a narrative voiceover would be best if you've got confidence in your voiceacting skills (or know someone else who could do it.)
Also, if you've got Stunts & Effects you can use the "age" slider in the costume part of the AMM to artificially age an actor for a part, which would have helped here since he's supposed to be a greybeard.
Still, I voted 3 for this because it is fairly atmospheric and ultimately effective- I think if you try harder to make your next project more purely cinematic, it'll be great.»
«My movies are always being told they need VO this movie needs it more than any its a drama without words. The fade to black with text doesnt convey enough of the story to the viewer. With no real action this movie has to tell its story in another way but the problem is it dosent. The maker had VO in it but only for a blair witch style towards the end which was cool and interesting but without the rest of the story making sense this has no hope to either.»
