«Good and spooky.
The sound was excellent. The editing was spot on. Slick set designs.
I really like the camera work in the Cross house. Really got my attention.
«Good and spooky.
«Outstanding sound design.
I'm not a huge horror or slasher fan, but I love this style. All about tone and mood.
I watched in daylight and didn't find it too dark... just right I thought.
The long tracking shots, combined with glorious sound and nice sets, made this an absolute corker in my book. Really, really liked that.»
«Dr. Giggles meets Micheal Myers.
The sounds. The music and sound effects keep the level of suspence at a good pace.
The set designs. Excellent work. Great use of prop placement and creating a certain atmoshpere.
The camera work. Good editing. The way the camera follows at times showed an importance to that scene.
A bit dark in lighting but then again, it was supposed to be night.
Some movements were a bit jumpy. But this is a MS problem.
I felt there could have been some dialog, especially when the woman wakes up. I was expecting her to sak where she was or something to that effect.
A good start to what looks like a promising horror. Great Job.»
«Great sound effects and some very effective moments. I kinda felt the beginning was a little stilted (the camera work following the girl didnt work so very well) but once the doc shows up things got cooking. Loved the journey through the creepshow house and the sets were very well done (though the stereo stood out as out of place for me). Some pretty creepy stuff. Will be looking forward to the next episode.»
«Nicely done! The atmosphere of this was very good. I liked the edginess of the film's soundtrack, really set the mood. The crowd ambience at the start was very good and I liked how it faded away as the woman left the house and I also really liked how you changed the sound of her footsteps as she went out onto the grass. The camerawork was really good, some really creepy shots here. The first-person viewpoint coming into the house was especially well done, I liked how that was integrated into a film which was shot mainly as a spectator. It added a nice twist. I also liked the gruesome sound effects you used in some of the scenes. They really creeped me out.
This might just be the fault of my monitor as it does tend to show things much darker than they should be but often I found the shots so dark I could see basically nothing at all, which in some cases was a good thing but in some cases I found it a little frustrating that I had no clue what was going on. Like I say though, I suspect this problem was caused by my pc monitor and not your choice of lighting. Also, and this is a small thing, at one point the woman at the beginning opens a door and as it opens it goes through her body. That was a minor mistake but one that was noticeable so always best to try and avoid that. I don't know Moviestorm all that well though so I don't know how easy that is to fix.
Overall, this was a brilliantly creepy short horror film which kept me on the edge of my seat for the full 6 minutes and really unnerved me at certain points. It's a difficult task to make an effective horror movie in machinima but I think you did a great job. For your first movie this was superb. Well done and keep on filming

«I had to stop and turn the light on really early into this movie, you scarred the sh*t out of me.
Visually this was brilliant, at first reassuring with the house but then so disturbing every wall made me jump. In terms of SFX you really know what you are doing, just the owl at the start made me jump.
Get some VOs for later episodes and you could have a serious horror series. I want to see the next one, but at the same time I'm afraid to.
