My review keeps disappearing everytime I submit it.
Anyway..., Great work here. Effects & story & voice acting were superb. Sometimes it was a bit dark for me but that could have been my monitor too..(?)
Regardless I really enjoyed this & it kept me intrigued throughout. Good job done!»

I enjoyed this one quite a bit. This was a superbly executed sci-fi flick, with a great cast, excellent direction and a damn good script. Kudos to all involved with the film.
I do have a few complaints, however. In several scenes, the dialogue was muffled and EXTREMELY hard to hear.
It was almost comical in the scene where the crew discovers the decomposing corpse, as all you hear is indistinct mutterings; it reminded me of the old school cartoons where somebody is talking on the phone, and all that can be heard from the other caller is pig latin.
I felt that the sound effect used for the pistol was rather cartoonish, and didn't fit in a gritty film such as this. It really undermined the drama during the captain's suicide scene; a really loud, ear crushing BANG would have been a great exclamation point for the scene, but instead we get a wimpy little "ping"!
This isn't really a flaw with the film, but I would have liked some kind of explanation on what the creature was. FInally, I felt that some of the dialogue was a bit sloppy.
Despite my complaints, I enjoyed this film immensely, and I'm definetly going to have to check out your romance flick when I get the chance. Excellent work here, and I look foward to seeing more work from you.
«While there was a few issues with the voice overs this was a very solid flick. The pacing was great, the visual shots helped to set up a bit of suspense, great music and visual effects. I'm glad I finally got a chance to watch this. It's like a great mishmash of Alien and Leviathon. Great work!»
«A very good film. I agree with the VOs being low at some points; I couldn't hear the dialouge for a few characters at the one scene. The outside editing worked really well and the story was very thrilling. The voice acting was magnificent and the sound design was excellent. »
«Nice work, this had a really nice mood to it. Great music and ambience and the VOs were very good. I enjoyed the story a lot, very edgy and tense. The camerawork was nicely done and the outside editing gave a unique look to the movie. The mods you used worked really well and didn't draw attention to themselves, and I also like that you managed to incorporate so much of the original TM stuff without making it seem old.
I agree with one or two of the other comments saying a couple of the characters were a bit low in the mix compared to others. Always try to make sure the VOs are on the same level. Also, I thought at times you went a little over contrast with the editing, particularly in darker scenes. Finally, I thought sometimes - especially at the beginning - there were sections that seemed a little too drawn out and some of the shots seemed pointless, self-indulgent even (example is the long, panning shot of the monitors at the start that doesn't really add anything). Of course, that's just my opinion but I felt there were moments where the pacing slowed to a crawl because of it. Otherwise I really enjoyed how you kept the momentum going.
Overall, a really well made sci-fi film and a great start to the series. There have been other sci fi series' on TMU that looked great with outside editing but the director never finished them. Judging by the length of this production I don't see that being the case here. Glad to see another top-notch series on TMU and long may it continue

«A very fun and well made sci-fi movie! I understand you were inpired by stuff like Alien and Dead Space? It shows, in a good way. I really liked the suspense, you built the story nicely, and the plot was good, although it felt a little short. The Dialogue was great, it moved the story forward in a good pace, and the acting was great. But that leads me to the one problem with this movie, which I found a little annoying when watching it on the premiere, the sound editing could've used a little work. Sometimes it was very hard to hear what the characters were saying, so I turned up the volume, but then suddenly, there could be an explosion and my speakers would nearly explode. So I constantly had to keep my hand on the volume control, which took away a bit of the experience (this could be a result of bad speakers, correct me if that's the case). But anyway I really enjoyed this movie, it was very very well made and was a well spent 30 minutes of my sunday

«30-odd minutes of some excellent sci-fi; what's not to love?
A couple of personal nit-picks, though; as has been mentioned (and probably will again) the sound levels were squiffy at a couple of points. Not easy with a largish cast to ensure that they are all levelled, but especially near the end it really jarred for me. Another pet peeve was the underlying stock sound effects from TM; not a massive thing, but they have been so used over the years they do tend to grate on one's ears now Although it's a lot of extra work, it's always better to try to find other sounds to replace those that come with the game engine (which I note you did in a lot of places); the soundscape will sound a lot better for it. Also, it seemed a tad too dark in spots, but that could very easily be my monitor, so don't worry too much about that
All in all, a great story, good soundtrack, some good performances and a tour-de-force in effects work. You should be justifiably proud of this; a 30 minute movie with TM is no mean feat (and I should know )»
«Now THAT was fun. Cool effects, and fantastic selection of scenes and editing. My only complaint is the difference in volume of the dialogues--some are hard to hear, while others are quite loud. Perhaps adjusting them all to comparable levels would help. I also have to add==nice job with the music composition as well!»
