What a unique movie you have uploaded to the TMU community. I think this is the first movie i have seen from you Joseph and i must say that i am impressed by your skills. To be honest i thought this was going to be cringeworthy when i first opened it, i wasnt quite sure how the movie would play out, but i found myself glued to the screen and enjoying it very much. Some movies tend to drag and when i find myself looking to see how much time there is left, it isnt a good sign, but with this movie i didnt look at the timer at all. Very well done, you have certainly raised the bar as far as orginality is concerned. Top effort! Well done, will be viewing more of your movies for sure!
An entertaining comedy - I loved all the martial arts moves and the way they were choreographed and edited. (Liked the last move - I felt that one!) When the communications broke down, there was an excellent live action recreation of the comedy hand-slapping fight sequence from The Movies.
There was even a bit of suspense there with the syringe getting nearer and nearer; would the automated response say the right word in time? Lol - nailbiting ... and the facial expression was priceless after that.
I think we sometimes do surrender our brains to technology. I think e-mail is an example - some people now almost exclusively use it, even in emergencies, when the telephone is a much more instant and reliable way of getting in contact with the other person (although you certainly wouldn't think it from this film!)
Nice stunts, and the voice actress had a very smooth, yet impersonal, telephone voice which was perfect for her role. She could get some gigs doing that!
«Lol that was cool Joseph! I didn't realise what you meant by a 'live' film. I have a few myself. I'll put them on if I have the chance. I thought this was the same as the original so that's why I didn't check it out earlier. I prefer this to the Movies version because of all your crazy facial expressions. 'Give a nice smile to put him off guard.' - LOL! Thanks for telling me about this.
«Loved it! It's good to see you enjoying a live action role I was laughing out loud to much of this, some very clever stuff and nicely put together. Well done! (It's inspired me to get back into the live action stuff ) Howie.»
«lol good stuff Joseph:-) I like how you made fun of yourself by playing yourself in this flick:-) Nice use of the camera angles and editing to make this into a flawlessly slick presentation.I wonder now how much it cost for that phone call haha.Good parody on how people are helpless without someone telling them what to do:-D Sorry I'm late to pop-in and check this out.I've always enjoyed your TMO stuff, and your live-action is equally impressive:-)»
«"Disarm your opponent with a winning smile" That one made me pause the film until I regained my bodily functions. Wonderful stuff Joseph – loved the upgrade as well. »
«Very original and very entertaining. I couldn't help but beg for more after that twist ending. The fighting scenes were brilliant and the dust flying off of your bodies after each strike was amusing. Great live action stuff and I hope to see more.»
«An absolute CLASSIC! Love this film! That "disarming smile" just cracks me up... hehehe (You should upload that little Trek skit you did, too!) Great work, Joseph!»
«This is one of those films that, had I seen it on TMO, I'd have highly recommended filming it on the outside. And here it is, every bit as cute and fun as the first time I saw it. Still makes me smile, which is still high praise. Nice work, Joe!»
«This was inspired. It was great to see a TMO production come to life or should I say real life? Your superlative directing talent is not just limited to machinima. »
«lol funny film joseph, well done putting this together. It seemed to flow excellently, no choppy or boring spots at all. And good work with the fast motion to slow motion bits that made the punches look like they were actually sticking, an issue which is usually problematic for most fight scenes in amateur films. »
«Wow Joseph, you kick ass big time. Great work throughout. Combat moves was like watching a proper movie. Sort of an action hero or martial arts movie. Very funny in it's own way. Excellent work once again!»
«Woo-hoo, TMU's first real action hero....J..K.....Dub!
Very cool - it's fun to see the comedy stylings of one of the great directors of the community. Well written, funny, and as Sparky said, very original.»
«Cute and very amusing satirical take. Fun action scenes (who's your stunt double). Its strange seeing a live action take on this. I kept thinking about how well it would lend itself to a TM flick and then how it would be very amusing to see morte live action flicks of tmo movies...if that makes any sense.»
«That was soooo cool! Very funny but with a serious undertone that is a scary reality in the technologically dependant society in which most of us live. Interesting, very well presented and highly original. Nice work JKW (You handsome devil, you.)»
«Great humor, love it.
»
«Haha funny stuff
»
«I can't believe that I'd forgotten about this! So entertaining, well deserving the award

THE RISE OF THE NERDS

«1st. Sweet video card in the beginning. That's setting the stage for everyone, showing everyone how accomplish you are.
"You can't do that..."
Hilarious!! Dude came for more blood. The V.O's (like the film) was quirky like an old Sims commercial. The "Dial & Wait" humor played well.
Another great film from you mang, love your Live Action stuff. 5Stars »
«Very good,liked this a lot
Jimmy»
